Samuel I, Ch1,45-46 “And David said to the Philistine, You come to me with spear and javelin, and I come to you with the Name of the Lord of Hosts, the God of the armies of Israel which you have taunted. This day, the Lord will deliver you into my hand, and I shall slay you, and take off your head, and I shall give the carcasses of the camp of the Philistines this day, to the fowl of the air and to the beasts of the earth, and all the earth shall know that Israel has a God.”

This is recreation (meaning similar but different from the original) of an 18th Century Italian painting by an unknown artist.

This was the first painting I ever made and the first canvas I ever stretched.  It is actually stretched on 2×3 inch wood that I hand cut using a hand saw and miter box.  Inspired by Chagall and the movie.  But the fiddler is me, so I guess it is kind of a self portriat.
